The time involved as a titleholder varies depending on your title, availability, and desire to participate in appearances and community events. Our titleholders serve as ambassadors for Lancaster Pageants and the community through volunteer service, leadership opportunities, public appearances, and community engagement.
We make every effort to work around faith, family, school, work, and extracurricular commitments, as we believe those responsibilities should remain a priority. Scheduling is handled on a case-by-case basis and requires communication and coordination between the titleholder, family, and pageant committee.
Appearances are generally local and may include community events, parades, speaking engagements, volunteer activities, style shows, fundraisers, and other special events. While transportation is not provided, we strive to make participation a positive and rewarding experience for both titleholders and their families.
Titleholders are also required to compete for an Antelope Valley title during their reign, as Lancaster Pageants is a preliminary program within the Antelope Valley system. This opportunity allows titleholders to continue developing leadership skills, community involvement, interview experience, and personal growth while representing Lancaster and their community on a larger stage.
Being selected as a titleholder is both an honor and a responsibility. We encourage our titleholders to represent Lancaster Pageants with professionalism, leadership, kindness, and a commitment to serving their community.

Tattoos and piercing are a statement of your individuality and to this point we have not prohibited anyone from entering the pageant because of them. Judges are not told to look upon someone negatively because of tattoos or piercing, however judging is a subjective process done by each individual differently.
Should you feel that your tattoo might be a distraction, you may want to make sure it is covered by your gown or even body makeup. If you are uncomfortable with your piercing, you may want to make sure your wardrobe covers it. You can opt to replace it with something smaller and less noticeable or you can remove it totally for pageant weekend.
